Come take a week long class in the mountains!

The week of October 8, 2017, Dale will be teaching a metalsmithing class at William Holland School of Lapidary Arts located in Young Harris, Georgia.  The class is called “Cabochon alternatives with bezel, prong, tube and ‘step bezel’ and tab settings”.  The title only gives you a taste of the techniques you will be learning in the class.  Add making stone on stone cabochons, married metals, decorative backs for your settings and more to that list of setting techniques and you end up having a very busy jewelry making week indeed!

Take a look at some of the sample pictures and then plan a trip to the beautiful Blueridge mountains to take a week long class with Dale!  Call Dale at 254-432-5307 for more info or go straight to and check out the class.  You will need to scroll down to headings for Silver II and look for B. Dale Koebnick.  Please check it out!

With flat-nosed pliers, round-nosed pliers, wire cutters and a pen, area jewelry enthusiasts learned how to craft beads and wire Saturday into handmade designs.

Killeen resident Beth Driver got into the hobby when a friend signed her up for a class. She previously struggled to put ends together when crafting together a necklace.

“It was the best thing I ever did for myself,” Driver said. “I think I come here just as much for the camaraderie as anything else.”

Fellow bead hobbyist Esther King found the pastime when she visited Bead Bistro Gourmet Beadery to purchase a gift certificate for her granddaughter.  read more
